Want to read The Cordelia Solution early?
And other bookish updates.
We’re only about a month and a half from the release of The Cordelia Solution, the third book in The Jayu City Chronicles. Are you excited to see what happens next for Elise and Bastion?
Elise Corto-Intel is a thief. Was a thief. Now, it seems like so much more is being asked of her. Despite her best efforts, a rogue operative is still on the loose and still trying to upset the careful balance of power in Jayu City. To sniff out the threat, Elise has to go deep undercover, accompanied only by her apprentice and her illegal AI.
Now, Elise is working for Gloria, the daughter of the CEO of a rival company. Cut off from her friends, family, and most of her support network, she's never felt more alone. Can Elise stop the threat before it destroys the city? Can she keep her cover and her life intact? And can she protect her own heart as Gloria’s initial distrust grows into burgeoning love?
This was the hardest book to write in the series so far. Putting Elise in an undercover situation away from her support system meant that I also put me away from her support system, which was a challenge as a writer. But I also think this results in the best book of the series so far.
Read It Early!
Can’t wait until November 11 to read it? You can sign up for an advance reader copy (ARC) now in exchange for your honest and early review.
Yep. Not asking for 4- or 5-star reviews, just honest reviews on Goodreads, Storygraph, and anywhere else you post book reviews. Social media posts are more than welcome, too. And then drop that review on Amazon on release day. That’s it!

What Am I Working On?
I’ve turned in the final(ish) manuscript of My Name Was Baby: An Intersex Memoir to my publisher recently. While he may come back with some edits, I’m hard at work on the next book in The Jayu City Chronicles. Yep, the train never stops.
Oh, and I’m plotting out another project. Ask me no questions, and I’ll tell you no lies. 😉

Upcoming Events
While I’m still ironing out details for several local (Kansas City area) events to celebrate the launch of The Cordelia Solution, I can share one. I’ll be at Boozy Book Fest on November 15 and 16 in Kansas City’s Crossroads district.
Lucy, the owner of The Gilded Page and founder of Boozy Book Fest, has been such a wonderful champion for my work and other local authors. Be sure to come out, say hello, and buy some books. Also, The Gilded Page recently opened a brick-and-mortar store in the Northland, so go see Lucy there!
